The National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand also known as NITUK is an institute of national importance established in 2010. It is among the 31 NITs of India.Currently, NITUK is running on a temporary campus located in Government ITI, Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal district. The motto of NITUK is "अभ्यासाध्यरयेतः विद्या" which means "Knowledge is maintained through Practice and Hardship".
The admissions in NITUK are done through JEE MAINS examination. Currently, it only offers undergraduate courses i.e. B.tech to its scholars. The NITUK offers degrees in Science & humanities, Computer Science Engineering(CSE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering(EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering(ECE). Mechanical Engineering (ME) was added in 2012 while Civil Engineering (CE) was added in 2013 in its undergraduate courses. "CLIFFESTO" earlier known as "PRODAYA" is the annual techno-cultural event of NITUK usually held in the month of February. "PRAVARTAK" is its fresher's ceremony along with this NITUK also has a good sports facility. The graph of placements has certainly gone up for NITUK in 2015 as compared to the first batch in 2014 where a huge number of students has got placed in big companies. Interestingly, DRDO also visited the college in 2015 for recruitment.
